We've represented Roseau for the last 7 years and every year it just gets better & better! It's an established venue run by Christophe and Aline Lévêque in northern France, about 2½ hours drive from Calais. These mature lakes can definitely be described as action waters - they contain an awesome number of carp with 20 runs a day more than possible. There are also a fair number of large cats up to upper 60's. Improvements undertaken over the winter of 2007 saw deepening of some of the shallower areas of the lake and two new shower rooms being built.
Roseau is quite simply a cracking lake complex with a great social atmosphere.
Here's some examples to show you what we mean by an action water;
“We had around 120 carp in total & we didn't fish through the night. Biggest 36lb mirror, including 20 x 30lbs+. Biggest common 27.06, biggest sturgeon 32.08. Normally though we would have had more than this – we had 3 tonnes out last year.”
Tom Luke & Ron Ellis, September 2007.
“50 fish in all. Best mirror 34.08, best common 26.00. FOOD WAS BRILL!!! All had a great time. Lots of twenties. Must thank Aline for the food.”
Darren and Stephen Leigh, September 2007.
“4 x 38lb, 6 x 30lb, 16 x 20lb, plus 10 more over 15lb. A great trip, I will be booking next year.”
Mr Taylor, July 2007.
“Around 40 fish, vast majority mid/high 20's... up to best fish of 35lb. Plus Sturgeon of 33lb. A great venue, can't fault it! Booked to go back next year & take a party of 7 with me - says it all. Manic action, great fishing & the owner was really helpful.”
Alan Dobson, June 2007.
And this feedback is by no means exceptional – just take a few minutes to look through the feedback pages (which go back to 2001) and you’ll see why Roseau is such a popular venue.

There are two lakes of 12 and 2 acres. Both have grassy banks which are ideal for setting up bivvies but the land surrounding Roseau is reclaimed marsh land and this means that during periods of heavy rain, particularly early season, it can get very muddy. Please go prepared. The swims are not accessible by car but Christophe will run you and all your tackle around to your chosen peg on a quad bike.

There are 3 sets of clean toilets and showers. The showers are locked overnight but there is always a toilet open. There is a bar / restaurant but the owners do not live on site and the hours the restaurant is open do vary from day to day. Please do not rely on the bar for food or drink supplies as some days it does not open at all. There is a very good STOC supermarket about 2 miles away and we suggest you stock up there on your way to the venue.

A complete food package (breakfast & evening meal) is available for £83 per person. Take a look at the feedback section and you'll see lots of comments saying what good value this is. If you do order the food package it will be brought to you by the owner from his other restaurant in the local village – when you arrive he will tell you the times he will be bringing the food.
If you book the food package you will be asked to pay a 10% deposit to Angling Lines and the balance to the lake when you arrive. Please note that due to fluctuations in the exchange rate the balance you pay when you arrive may not equate exactly to the remaining 90% in £’s sterling – it may be slightly more or less due to a change in the exchange rate.
