Photo's taken when Ribiere had been drained in 1998......
The lake was drained in 1998 to carry out routine maintenance to the dam. None of the carp were removed - they were safely held in the remaining basin of water (approximately 1 acre) in front of the dam (in the foreground of the first photo). This lake is particularly quick to refill since it is formed from a dammed stream - the carp therefore suffered very little stress. We thought we'd include the photo's to give you some idea of the lake bottom.
You can see the remains of a bridge which crossed the stream - it can be seen in the middle of this shot ......

and here it is close-up.........

A great feature to fish to ... but lots of fish are lost!
